Arizona Commission on the Arts coming to Safford

SAFFORD — What role does — and should — art play in everyone’s daily lives will be the topic of a state commission-facilitated discussion in August.

The Gila Valley Arts Council will host board members and staff from the Arizona Commission on the Arts for a 90-minute public listening session on the arts in the state.

The discussion will take place in the programming room of the Safford City-Graham County Library on Wednesday, Aug. 8, from 4-5:30 p.m.

Performers, fine artists, musicians and other creators are encouraged to attend, as well as the public and art patrons.
