SAFFORD — The Gila Native Plants Nursery annual Spring Plant Sale fund-raiser is underway, and there are several ways one can purchase native plants to improve the yard and invite native pollinators.
This year’s sale has the benefit of supporting another great area nonprofit — the Boys & Girls Club of the Gila Valley.
All purchases made in person Friday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to noon, will trigger a donation to the Boys & Girls Club. Members of the Safford Boys & Girls Club will be around during the morning event to show off the plants they particularly like, help carry plants to cars and accept donations.
A portion of each sale will go to the Boys & Girls Club, with the chance to give an additional donation to either organization.
Shoppers can purchase plants online for pickup on Fridays in April or come to the Gila Native Plants Nursery in person. For more information, visit our website at gwpaz.org/s/shop.
