Adam O’Doherty named United Way of Graham and Greenlee Counties Chief Executive Officer

Adam O’Doherty has been hired to become the first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the United Way of Graham and Greenlee Counties. He will begin his new role on January 15.

According to Royce Hunt, United Way Board President, “the Board of Directors has done considerable work mapping our intentions for the future, and we believe Adam is the perfect candidate to help us get there. His youth, experience, and drive are just what we need. I envision looking back 10 years from now and being very proud that I served on the Board of this organization at this point in our history. ”

For the last three years, O’Doherty has served as the first Executive Director of Partner for Student Success, St. Cloud, Minnesota, whose mission is to grow partnerships with school districts, businesses, educational institutions, community agencies, funders and the government. Prior to his time with Partner for Student Success, he served as Assistant Director-Upward Bound in Brainerd, MN and K-12 Dean of Students for Catholic Charities, St. Cloud, Minnesota.

O’Doherty says he is eager to a take a strong existing organization to the next level and to work collectively in support of community capacity building efforts. “I am excited to join such a warm and welcoming community and to work in partnership toward achievement of our common goal of building successful communities.”

O’Doherty earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud, MN.
