Stolen Truck and Trailer Recovered Near Graham County Fairgrounds

GRAHAM COUNTY, AZ (Feb. 9, 2026) — A stolen truck and gooseneck trailer reported missing from a Valley Auto Shop property were recovered Monday afternoon near the Graham County Fairgrounds, according to the Graham County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched at approximately 10:53 a.m. on February 9 to Valley Auto Shop on South U.S. Highway 191 after the vehicle’s owner reported that his 2006 Ford F-350 dually pickup truck and attached gooseneck car trailer had been stolen sometime late Saturday night.

The man told deputies he had last seen the truck parked on the north side of the business property near the highway on February 7. The following day, a friend visiting the shop asked about the vehicle’s whereabouts, prompting the owner to realize both the truck and trailer were missing. He told investigators he had left the truck unlocked but still had possession of both keys.

Surveillance footage from the property captured a shadowy figure near or underneath the vehicle around 12:30 a.m. However, the video was too dark to identify a suspect. Brief flashes of a light source were visible before the truck and trailer were seen heading southbound on Highway 191.

Deputies entered the vehicle information into the National Crime Information Center database and issued an Attempt to Locate alert. Initial searches, including checks of FLOCK camera systems, did not produce any matches.

At approximately 2:30 p.m. the same day, a deputy patrolling Highway 191 near Armory Road spotted a black dually truck pulling a trailer parked near the north entrance of the fairgrounds. Upon closer inspection, the deputy confirmed it was the stolen vehicle.

The vehicle was unoccupied. Authorities observed damage to the ignition switch and noted the driver-side window was open. A suction-cup backup camera mount remained attached to the dashboard, but the screen and magnetic camera were missing. No other items were reported stolen or damaged.

Investigators were unable to locate usable fingerprints or clearly identifiable shoe prints at the scene.

The vehicle’s owner indicated he would arrange to have the vehicle towed or returned to his property. The case remains under investigation.

The theft is being investigated as Theft of Means of Transportation under Arizona law.

Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the Graham County Sheriff’s Office.
