Registration open now for Wings Over Willcox tours

WILLCOX — Spaces are filling fast for guided tours during the 33rd annual Wings Over Willcox Birding & Nature Festival.

The annual event takes place Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday weekend, Jan. 15-18, 2026, with a full slate of tours, activities, free seminars, and the Saturday-night banquet and silent auction at the Golden Rule Vineyards.

Tours begin Thursday afternoon, followed by a welcome reception with music and hors d’oeuvres from 5:50 to 7:30 p.m. at the Willcox Community Center.

Saturday’s banquet keynote presenter will be naturalist and writer Steve Shunk, who will share tales of his exploration into the woodpeckers of Arizona.

The Nature Expo will be back in full swing Thursday, from 5-7:30 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day; and Sunday, from 8-11 a.m. Vendors include Arizona Game and Fish Department, National Park Service, Geology for Kids, Amerind Museum, Tucson Audobon and more.
