PHOENIX — Arizona Department of Transportation is reminding owners of off-highway vehicles they must now take a safety course before being allowed to register their vehicles.
The requirement, passed by the Legislature last session, takes effect Jan. 1.
The course is free and can be taken online at AZMVDNOW.gov, or at local MVD offices.
For businesses with a registered OHV, at least one representative must show proof of completing the course before the business can register the vehicle.
Passing the course gives compliance for two years.
