Margot H. Herrera, a longtime resident of Clifton, Arizona, entered into eternal rest Saturday, September 21, 2024, surrounded by family. She was 83.
She is preceded in death by: her father, David Herrera; mother, Miner Rascon; husband, Manuel Herrera Sr.; and sisters, Irene and Amanda Herrera.
Margot was the 3rd of 10 children born to David and Miner Herrera on January 27, 1941. On February 24, 1962, she married Manuel Herrera Sr., and they were blessed with 38 wonderful years of marriage and five children.
Margot left her home country of Mexico at the age of 14, where she provided assistance to her large family back home. She became a nanny and took great care of a deacon’s family. Later on, she was known throughout the community as a longtime cook in the Morenci Motel. Unsurprisingly, it is this same dedication, compassion, and care she exhibited among her patrons that will be missed among her loved ones. Her generosity was immeasurable, and she selflessly believed in helping as many people as possible.
After the passing of her husband, Margot became the pillar of faith and strength of her family. She was unceasingly devoted to her daily prayers and her faith was unwavering. Margot’s greatest joy in life was her family. Although she wasn’t scholastically educated, she happily encouraged her children and grandchildren to pursue higher education and learn as much as possible.
Margot is survived by: her son, Manuel Herrera, Jr. (Kay); daughters, Leticia Herrera, Minerva Herrera, and Amanda Bartlett (Jason); grandchildren, David Herrera (Shannon), Donna Dominguez (Tony), Marina Alcarez (David), Robert Wright, Jr., Deion Peete, and Daija Peete; she also had five great-grandchildren; Bryden and Eastyn Herrera; Izaiah, Joshua, and Kinsley Dominguez.

A rosary and prayers will be offered Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
