The following is a public announcement from the City of Safford
The City of Safford has contracted with Gila Cut-Out Construction to complete the 8th Avenue Rebuild Project. The project consists of replacing power poles on approximately 0.80 miles of 12.47/2.7 kV double circuit overhead line and 0.61 miles of 12.47/7.2 kV single circuit. The project limits are from the 8th Avenue Substation (2400 block of 8th Ave) north to 7th Street. Construction is anticipated to begin in March and will last for approximately four months.
