SAFFORD — Graham County saw 168 new cases of COVID-19 through the first four days of November.

That’s according to data released by Graham County Health Department, which reported 93 new cases as of Nov. 1 and another 75 new cases as of Nov. 4.

That’s 68 percent more new cases than the first four days in October and 25 percent more than the same time in September.

The new cases bring the total to 7,787 Graham County residents — 20 percent of the county’s population — who have tested positive for coronavirus since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

There were also four coronavirus-related deaths recorded since the Health Department’s last report in October.

That brings the total number of residents who have died as a result of COVID-19 to 119.
