Redistricting public meeting dates, locations announced

PHOENIX — The Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission announced the meeting dates and locations for the final round of public comment on the proposed new legislative and congressional districts.

The meeting Nov. 9, at 8 a.m., will be virtual via Google Meets. On Nov. 10, the commission will meet in Yuma, Nov. 16 in Cottonwood and Nov. 17 in Sun City. Those three meetings start at 6 p.m.

Graham County residents can participate in the Nov. 17 meeting via satellite link in the San Carlos Apache Tribal Council chambers.

The Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission expects to formally adopt final maps in December, in order to have districts set for the 2022 elections.
