Safford – A pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle Thursday night shortly after 8:00 pm. The accident occurred in the 1200 block of west Highway 70. The injured pedestrian was transported to Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. The man was reportedly staying at a local motel.
The name of the deceased is not being released until confirmation that his next of kin has been contacted and notified.
The incident remains under investigation.
