Lucille Jack Rogers

Lucille Jack Rogers, age 73, died peacefully on Sunday, March 4th in Mesa, Arizona after a brief struggle with cancer.  Lucille was born September 13, 1944 in Durango, Colorado, the daughter of Earl and Ruth Jack. She grew up in Southern Colorado and attended Ft. Lewis College in Durango.  She became a first-grade school teacher and moved to Holbrook, Arizona in 1966.

Lucille met her lifetime love, John Eli Rogers, and they were married in 1969 and made their home in Holbrook.  There they raised their five children and enjoyed serving in numerous callings in the LDS church. Lucille enjoyed quilting and she made over 250 quilts that she has shared with many loved family and friends. John and Lucille moved to Pima, Arizona in 2014 and have made many new friends.

Lucille is survived by: her sister Florence; brothers, Lynn, Ted and Kent; her husband, John; sons, Isaac (Jenny), Flint (Jan), Dale (Amanda) and Sam (Sarah); her daughter, DeAnn; and her grandchildren, Bodie, Callie, Joy, Cooper, Gavin, Mason, Justin, Lucy, Will, Arlee, Eli, Bingham, Jane, Lewis, Tommy and Mary.

Funeral services for Lucille will be conducted Friday afternoon, March 9, 2018, at 3:00 p.m., at the Pima L.D.S. Stake Center by Bishop Newel Knight of the Pima Second Ward. Concluding services will follow in the Pima Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m., at the Pima L.D.S. Stake Center Relief Society Room.
