Willcox homicide suspect still at large

WILLCOX — One suspect is in custody in the shooting of two people in Willcox on Tuesday; however, the alleged shooter remains at large.

The apprehended suspect has been booked into Cochise County Jail on charges of accessory to commit murder in the first degree and accessory to commit attempted murder in the first degree.

The suspect reportedly admitted to giving a firearm to the alleged shooter.

Willcox Department of Public Safety reports the incident occurred Tuesday, March 31, at about 9:30 p.m. on the 500 block of South Curtis Avenue. When officers arrived, they found one deceased person.

A second victim had already been transported to Northern Cochise Community Hospital and later flown to Tucson. The surviving victim is listed in critical condition.

Identities of the victims and suspects have not yet been released.
