WILLCOX — Cochise County Sheriff’s Office said at least 13 people in the Willcox area were impacted by a 20-year-old man indiscriminately firing a rifle.
The incident occurred Tuesday, April 28, at about 8 p.m., on the 2800 block of Ten Gallon Trail.
Multiple homes in the area were struck by bullets, including bullets shot through kitchen windows.
Deputies, along with Willcox Department of Public Safety officers, were able to track down the suspect, who reportedly admitted he was shooting from a nearby residence.
The rifle was confiscated and placed into evidence and the man was cited and released. The case has been referred to the Cochise County Attorney’s Office for review and possible additional charges.
