Disorderly conduct with a weapon charges for woman in domestic dispute

GRAHAM COUNTY — A woman was arrested following a domestic disturbance where she allegedly tried to take her own life.

The incident occurred April 25, just after 11 p.m.

The victim took Graham County Sheriff’s deputies the woman entered his bedroom and began yelling at him. She then allegedly pulled a handgun out of her purse and placed the barrel against her head, but the gun jammed before she could fire.

The victim’s teen children came into the room and took the gun from the woman, securing it outside the house.

The woman told deputies the victim was “a narcissist” and she was “fed up” with him. She also reportedly admitted to thoughts of self-harm.

The woman was placed into custody and booked into Graham County Jail on charges of disorderly conduct with a deadly weapon and endangerment.
