A woman called authorities December 3. 2025 to report her vehicle, white 2017 GMC Acadia was stolen during the night. She told investigators that her son was outside at approximately 10:00 pm and the car was there. When he got up to get ready for work at approximately 4:30 am, the vehicle was gone.
The woman told authorities that her key fob was in the center console of the vehicle and the vehicle was left unlocked. She also said her purse was in the car, but that she had frozen her credit cards that had been in the purse. At the time of her reporting, she said that her cards had not been used.
Her son said that somebody had gone through his vehicle and took some checks that were in his glove box. He said that he had electronically deposited the checks and didn’t think that they could be used by the thieves.
Deputies put out and Attempt to Locate (ATL) on the vehicle and drove around the vicinity looking for it. The victims said they wanted to press charges against the thieves, if caught.
