SAFFORD —Safford Police are investigating a number of vandalism incidents that occurred over the weekend.

“We did have quite a bit of damage around town this weekend to include GCRC, Boys and Girls Club, and Safford Middle School.  We believe the incidents are all related,” Capt. Tyler Cluff said in an e-mail to Gila Valley Central.

Boys and Girls Club of the Gila Valley reported on its social media Sunday that its shuttle vehicle had been damaged.

Meanwhile Great Communities Resource Center reported that five of its vehicles, as well as a staff member’s vehicle, had been vandalized, included significant damage to one vehicle’s steering column.

The damage to Safford Middle School has not yet been disclosed.

Cluff said investigation into the incidents is ongoing.
