The First Southern Baptist Church in Thatcher announces that its 2019 Vacation Bible School will take place June 17-21 from 8:00 till noon daily.
This is an opportunity for all young people in our community to have a week of fun. Students, Kindergarten through sixth grade, are welcome to participate, and teenagers are needed to volunteer to assist the group leaders. Free transportation is available if needed.
This summer’s VBS theme is The Incredible Race which refers to the human race, and the following scriptures will be highlighted:
- Genesis 1-11
- Psalm 139
- Acts 17:26
- Revelation 7:9-10
- Luke 10:25-37
The kids will make crafts, enjoy videos and music, and conduct science experiments. Many of the activities will take place out of doors. There will be daily snacks and brown bag lunches.
