SAFFORD — The Bureau of Land Management Safford Field Office announced more improvements are underway in the Gila Box Riparian National Conservation Area.
Upgrades are being made to Riverview Campground, Spring Canyon Picnic Area, West Bonita Rim Road and other sites.
The work is being funded through the Great American Outdoors Act.
Work started this week and is expected to take about two months to complete.
BLM oversees just two riparian national conservation areas in the United States — Gila Box in Graham County, and the San Pedro in Cochise County.
