Unemployment Claims in Arizona Are 84.46% Lower Than Last Year – WalletHub Study

Arizona, like many other states is struggling to recover from new unemployment claims. Last week’s claims were higher than at the start of 2020, according to WalletHub’s updated rankings for the States Whos Unemployment Claims are Recovering the Quickest.

Key Stats:

  • Weekly unemployment claims in Arizona increased by 16.05% compared to the same week in 2019. This was the 2nd smallest increase in the U.S.
     
  • Weekly unemployment claims in Arizona increased by 58.59% compared to the start of 2020. This was the 24th biggest increase in the U.S.
     
  • Weekly unemployment claims in Arizona decreased by 84.46% compared to the same week last year. This was the 13th biggest decrease in the U.S.
  • Arizona is currently ranked number 8 among most recovered states since last week.
