WILLCOX — The Arizona Department of Transportation has cleared up some confusion about a coming road closure and its impact on area drivers.

ADOT will close in both directions the exits on Interstate 10 at U.S. Highway 191 going north to Safford starting Tuesday, June 16. The closure is expected to last about one month.

Drivers looking to exit or enter the interstate will be detoured to an access point at milepost 352, west of the closed interchange and east of Willcox.

The closure is part of the pavement rehabilitation project taking place on the interstate between Willcox and Bowie.

Drivers should allow extra travel time, use caution, be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
