Two killed in horrific accident on Highway 70

At approximately 6:00 am Monday morning, a Ford Crowne Victoria struck the trailer that was being pulled by a farm tractor. Authorities say they believe the sedan is owned by a company that transports people to medical appointments.

The male driver and female passenger of the Crowne Victoria got out of their vehicle and were then struck by a Chevrolet Tahoe that also hit the Crowne Victoria. The male driver of the Crowne Victoria was killed instantly. The female passenger sustained life-threatening injuries and was flown to a Tucson-area hospital. The driver of the Tahoe was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have not ruled out the possibility that the driver of the Tahoe may have had a medical issue at the time of the collision. Both the Ford sedan and the Chevrolet Tahoe were westbound at the time of the accident.
