Safford, AZ – The City of Safford will be closing 8th Street today (Tuesday, October 1, 2024) from 11th Avenue to 14th Avenue for asphalt cutting. The closure will take place after morning traffic slows down, sometime after 8:00 a.m.
Detour signs will be posted to reroute traffic through 11th Avenue. The road is expected to reopen later today once the asphalt cutting is complete. City officials ask for your patience and understanding as their Streets Department works to improve the city’s infrastructure, keeping Safford a great place to Live, Work, and Visit!
