DRAGOON — Two people were killed in a single-vehicle rollover on Interstate 10 Saturday.

According to Arizona Department of Public Safety, the sport utility vehicle was traveling westbound when, at 5:03 p.m., at milepost 318, the driver lost control and swerved left into the median.

That caused the vehicle to rollover multiple times, eventually coming to rest on its roof in the eastbound lanes.

Two people were declared dead at the scene and five others were transported to area hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries.

Names of the victims have not yet been released and the incident remains under investigation.

The incident closed the westbound lanes of the interstate for more than an hour, and the eastbound lanes for about three hours.
