Tony Chacon Ontiveros, of Clifton, entered rest eternal Tuesday, June 6, 2023. He was 66.
Tony Ontiveros, “Tony O” as he was called by most, was born in Morenci, Arizona, on November 4, 1956, to Pedro and Pasquala Ontiveros. His parents brought him to the home where he would live the rest of his life, on Eastside, overlooking the San Francisco River.
Tony attended Clifton Schools, graduating as a Trojan in 1974. Tony was a plumber and a painter and had many other workingman’s skills. After retirement he was generous in helping family and friends in the community. When people pressed to pay him, he’d say “If you pay me, I won’t come again.” Tony enjoyed working on his home and lovely yard. The home he shared with Rose was a gracious and welcoming one where friends enjoyed laughter, shade, good food and lots of sports.
Tony was an avid Raiders fan throughout his life. He was known for his love of music and could often be heard singing his favorite oldies. Tony also loved fishing and was well known for his love of dogs and rarely left the house without taking his boxer Ky, who was his companion until his last fishing trip.
Tony is preceded in death by: his parents, Pedro and Pasquala. He leaves behind: siblings, Pedro, Carlos, Olga and David; children, Rene, Dakota, Kelly and Paul; grandchildren, Angel, Mia and Davian; and his devoted life partner, Rose.
Tony O’s big personality will be missed, and he will be lovingly remembered.
A Celebration of Tony O’s Life will be conducted Friday, June 16, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at Vining Funeral Home’s “Chapel of the Valley.”
