SAFFORD — The Graham County Chamber of Commerce has made it easier — and cheaper — to get your salsa fix.

Pre-sales have opened for bags of chips at this year’s NatureSweet SalsaFest — Year of the Chimichanga.

“There’ll be a shorter line and that’s super beneficial. So you’ll want to do that,” said Kristine Ekval with the Chamber.

Purchase of a bag of chips is required to sample the salsas made by Salsa Trail restaurants and amateur competitors.

Pre-sale cost for a bag of chips is $10, or $15 the day of the event.

The Chamber has also opened presale of tickets for the Linden Distributing Beer Garden ($5 per ticket), Year of the Chimichanga T-shirts ($30) and $500 VIP passes, which includes:

  • Two salsa-tasting tickets and bags of chips
  • Two meal vouchers
  • Four drink tickets
  • Two Year of the Chimichanga T-shirts
  • Two entries into the VIP tent and exclusive merchandise provided free by VIP sponsors

SalsaFest will take place Sept. 27-28 on the lawn in front of Safford City Hall, with a special Mini Chimi Party Zone for children and families in the used car lot of Kempton Chevrolet.
