THS Choir students safe following Holbrook incident

HOLBROOK — Thatcher High School officials notified parents that a man reportedly exposed himself to THS choir students during a recent trip to Holbrook.

The incident occurred Monday, Nov. 7. The THS Choir had finished its performance at the George Gardner Show Choir Festival and stopped at the Holbrook McDonald’s for a meal before returning home.

There, school officials said a man harassed the students via heckling. Officials said no students were physically touched or assaulted.

The man drove off but returned a short time later, exposing himself to the students and driving away again. THS staff and chaperone parents wrote down the man’s license plate number and reported the incident to Holbrook Police.

In an e-mail to Gila Valley Central, Holbrook Police Chief Nathan Christensen said his department was unable to track down the suspect.

“We believe we were given an incorrect license plate of his vehicle, so we have no information,” Christensen said.
