THATCHER — Thriving Hope Pregnancy Care Center will conduct a pancake breakfast fund-raiser at Thatcher Park on Saturday, Feb. 3, from 8-10 a.m.
Janel Westerfield with Thriving Hope said the organization wants to do more than just counsel women on whether to continue a pregnancy.
“The decisions that women have to make while they’re pregnant,” she said. “For example: child care. ‘How will I have child care? What resources are there in the community? How will I afford diapers? How will I afford formula? How will I afford other baby materials?’ We can provide resources in that way as well.”
Thriving Hope Pregnancy Care is a faith-based nonprofit that was formed in March 2023. It seeks to assist women and families “from Globe to Silver City” dealing with pregnancy.
Cost for the pancake breakfast is $8 for adults and $5 for children. The food can be enjoyed on-site or taken to go.
