The Best Ways to Contact ADOR

The Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR) offers taxpayers resources that are easily accessible by computer or phone, reducing the need for in-person visits.

Taxpayers are strongly encouraged to take advantage of these convenient options before making an appointment to come to an ADOR office location in person. ADOR is dedicated to resolving questions and account matters through email or phone, saving customers time and travel.

drop-box is available at our three ADOR locations for submitting payments, forms, applications, and returns without an appointment. Items are collected throughout the day, and taxpayers can receive a submission confirmation by including their email address on the top of the envelope.

ADOR offers several options to meet tax obligations and obtain information from the comfort of a person’s home:

Where’s My Refund
Taxpayers can check refund status online on AZTaxes.gov by selecting “Where’s My Refund.” Please allow eight weeks for processing before calling or emailing. If the return was submitted more than eight weeks ago and it is still pending, please email ADOR to determine if there is additional information needed.

Individual Income Tax
ADOR encourages customers to use electronic file and pay options. The AZTaxes.gov website is equipped for paying state individual income taxes under the “Make a Payment” link and can be scheduled for a future date. Income tax payments and returns are timely by the postmark date.

Collections
Taxpayers can pay their liability in full or make partial payments at www.AZTaxes.gov. Additionally, ADOR offers taxpayers the ability to request a monthly installment plan through AZTaxes.gov under Individual. For instructions, see the latest update.

Corporate Income Tax
Corporations needing guidance can visit the Corporate Income Tax page.

Transaction Privilege Tax
Businesses can register, file, and pay transaction privilege tax on AZTaxes.gov. The Quick Reference page is a helpful online resource with tips for filing and paying online.

Unclaimed Property
ADOR holds unclaimed property as a custodian for the rightful owner. Customers entitled to assets can do a free search and make a claim at https://azdor.gov/unclaimed-property.

Live Chat
ADOR Live Chat is available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. to answer inquiries for general questions and offers navigational guides in real-time on AZDOR.gov and AZTaxes.gov

Email
When emailing a request, an ADOR representative is best equipped to quickly assist when contact information, name and phone number within the body of the email are included.

Make appointments, submit forms, correspondence, and questions by emailing AZTaxHelp.

The AZTaxes Message Center provides customers with answers to general questions and guidance on registration, filing, and paying online.  The AZTaxes email address can only assist with general information and cannot address account-specific inquiries such as billings, suspended registrations, etc.

The Tax Policy Unit can assist with technical tax questions only, as the unit does not have access to account information. Do not send account-specific inquiries to this email address. Please include the taxpayer’s name and phone number when emailing.

ADOR does not accept emailed tax returns, except in special circumstances in which an ADOR representative has requested a customer do so.

Phone
Telephone support is available 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. To contact a specific department, please see the Contact Us page.
