THATCHER — The Town of Thatcher is looking for a qualified designer for a new recreation center.
The town is accepting statements of qualifications from architectural firms for the design and estimated cost for a new recreation center.
Proposals are due by 5 p.m. July 1.
At a previous Town Council meeting, Councilman Ryan Rapier said he had talks with neighboring communities about working together to create a regional recreation center. He said that the Town of Pima, Graham County and Eastern Arizona College had all expressed interest in partnering with Thatcher on the project.
