Thatcher PD planning for more trick-or-treaters Oct. 30 than Oct. 31

THATCHER — Thatcher Police are anticipating a busier Saturday than Sunday when it comes to Halloween.

Chief Shaffen Woods told the Town Council that he anticipates most of the trick-or-treating activity in Quail Ridge will take place Saturday, Oct. 30, so he will have officers patrolling the area that night.

“We are not telling anyone which day they should choose to celebrate Halloween. We recognize that it is on Sunday. However, we have limited resources and are doing our best to get the most out of our resources,” Thatcher Police wrote on its social media Thursday.

Thatcher PD also cautioned parents to be aware of limited vehicle access and parking options in the Quail Ridge area, due to ongoing construction in the top portion of the subdivision.
