THATCHER — The Town of Thatcher is rolling out a new program designed to beautify the area.

Town Manager Heath Brown announced the town is making available $20,000 in grants to beautify properties along U.S. Highway 70, from 20th Avenue to Reay Lane.

“Our main goal is curb appeal for those people — for all of us, really — for visitors. For our town to look good as they travel through,” Brown said. “I want to live somewhere attractive; I think most people do.”

The grants are available to owners of both commercial and residential properties with highway frontage. And the program requires at least a 30 percent match by the property owner.

Contact Town Hall for detail on the application process.
