THATCHER —With one sentence, the Town of Thatcher announced that the boys of summer can take it easy this year.
“In light of the current situation, summer baseball has been cancelled. Thank you for your understanding,” the town wrote on its website.
Meanwhile Mt. Graham Little League said plans are moving forward to begin playing the game.
In a message to Gila Valley Central, league officials said, “Our season is starting back up (and we’re) hoping to start games June 1.”
Last week the governor announced that professional sports teams are welcome to resume or begin play starting May 15
