GRAHAM COUNTY — A 15-year-old girl was transported to Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center after being severely beaten by her 15-year-old boyfriend.
The incident occurred March 28 at the girl’s home on Safford Bryce Road. She told Graham County Sheriff’s deputies the boyfriend hit her in the head four or five times when she refused to let him see her phone.
He eventually took the phone, saw messages of her talking with a friend about another boy, and started to beat her again, including strangling her, pulling out her hair and hitting her multiple times so hard she believes she was knocked unconscious.
She was transported to MGRMC for treatment of her injuries and deputies attempted to contact the boy at his residence multiple times, but no one was at the location.
An attempt to locate was put out and Juvenile Probation said it would seek a summons to court once they have the report.
