At the end of every Summer swim season the top 8 swimmers from Safford, Thatcher, Pima, and Morenci in each event meet to swim at the Summer Swim Finals. The teams compete primarily in the month of June at three meets to qualify for the finals.
Swimmers in age groups from 6 and under to 15 and over will swim in Breaststroke, Backstroke, Butterfly and Freestyle and cap of the Finals a 100 yard Individual Medley (swimming all strokes in one race). The teams will also complete in relay races.
The Gila Valley Summer Swim Finals will take place at the Safford Swimming Pool on Saturday July 7th starting at 7:30 AM.
