State of Graham County’s economy focus of Economic Partnership breakfast meeting

SAFFORD — The public will have the chance to hear about what is being done to improve the economy of the Gila Valley next week.

The Graham Economic Partnership will host its annual State of Economic Development breakfast Thursday, May 21, at 7:30 a.m., in the Graham County General Services Building.

Pima Town Manager Vernon Batty, Thatcher Town Manager Heath Brown, Safford City Manager Eric Bejarano and Graham County Manager Dustin Welker will provide updates on ongoing and planned projects in their communities.

In addition, Sean Wenham will provide an update on Freeport-McMoRan’s initiatives for the area’s mining operations.
