Sheriff’s Office Incident Report – September 30, 2026

Graham County Sheriff’s Office responds to 16 incidents

The Graham County Sheriff’s Office handled 16 incidents between September 29 and the early morning hours of September 30, according to the latest incident report. The calls included domestic disturbances, welfare checks, wanted-person cases, a vehicle accident and an agency assist involving a reported assault.

One of the more serious calls came shortly after 2:30 a.m. September 29 on West 8th Street. A resident reported hearing people in a neighboring unit yelling phrases including “shoot me” and “shoot the gun.” The caller also reported hearing what sounded like a gun clicking and someone yelling for another person to put it down. The report indicates there may have been two males inside the apartment.

In the afternoon, deputies conducted a welfare check requested by a local business manager for an employee who had reportedly not shown up for work for about a week and a half. Managers said they had been unable to contact the employee or an emergency contact and requested that deputies check on him.

A separate welfare check Tuesday night involved a 5-year-old child. The child’s mother requested that deputies check on her son after the child’s father reportedly had not contacted her and was possibly impaired.

At approximately 8:55 p.m., deputies responded to a vehicle accident at East Solomon Road and South Barney Lane. A white Cadillac sedan had reportedly driven into a ditch. The male driver denied needing medical assistance, and the incident was documented as an MVA with no reported injury.

Later Tuesday night, the Sheriff’s Office assisted Community Bridges in San Jose after a report involving a man who was described as being in a mental-health crisis and potentially dangerous to others. The report states that a man had allegedly assaulted his father earlier in the day and that his behavior had reportedly been escalating since March.

The report also includes several routine calls, including traffic enforcement, serving papers, VIN inspections, community engagement and a phlebotomy request.

Early Wednesday morning, deputies received a welfare-check request after a toddler called 911, spoke briefly and then disconnected without giving the phone to an adult. Deputies contacted an adult at the residence, determined the situation was clear, and canceled the response.

The report contains 16 incidents in total.
