SAFFORD — Safford Streets Department crew will continue fog sealing city’s roadways this week.
Streets schedule for work Wednesday include:
- Heliograph Street, between Twilight and Ladybug avenues
- 29th Place, from 12th Avenue to the cul de sac
- 12th Street, between 10th and 8th avenues
- 16th Street, from 8th Avenue to the clu de sac
- West Drive, from 11th Street to the end
- Burrell Lane, between El Paso Boulevard to Lamonica Way
- City of Safford parking lot, at the intersection of Main Street and Central Avenue
For residents and businesses on streets scheduled for sealing, the city’s Streets Department team has delivered a flyer to the door with the specific date the work will take place. Once the sealing is complete, the road will usually be ready to drive on within just a few hours.
City crews will place and remove traffic cones and barricades as needed. The city asks that residents do not move barricades and instead use alternate parking while work is underway. Vehicles left on the streets will be towed at the owners’ expense.
Motorists are asked to use caution when traveling through these areas and plan alternate routes when possible.
