THATCHER — With more and more art appearing in the public spaces in the Gila Valley, the Small Business Development Center at Eastern Arizona College wants to help those artists get the most for their work.
The SBDC will host a Business of Art workshop to help artists begin the process of turning their art into profit.
Skills taught will include sales and marketing strategies to maximize return on work.
“Everything about business is actually a lot more creative than you think it is. You have to get creative,” said EAC Art instructor Andra Jensen. “I think artists will be surprised how much they grow into that space.”
The workshop is free to the public and will take place Monday, March 28, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in room AP-111 on EAC’s Thatcher Campus.
