SAFFORD — Over the weekend, Graham County experienced its worst single day of COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic.
Graham County Health Department reported 44 new cases Saturday, followed by 26 Sunday and seven Monday.
The 44 new cases reported Saturday was the most since 42 were reported July 17. Over the last 30 days — dating back to Oct. 11 — Graham County has experienced 23 days with cases in the double digits, with 13 of those days exceeding 20 or more cases and four days in excess of 30 new cases.
Graham County’s total is at 1,441, with 518 of the cases considered active and 31 deaths.
Greenlee County added seven new cases over the weekend.
Greenlee County Health Department reported five new cases Friday and two Saturday.
Greenlee County’s total is at 116, with 28 of the cases considered active and two deaths.
