SAN CARLOS — A routine traffic stop turned into the recovery of juvenile missing for six months.
San Carlos Apache Police conducted the stop Friday, April 24, and in the vehicle was a 17-year-old Tribal member who had been in the custody of Arizona Department of Child Safety, but was reported missing Oct. 10, 2025.
Police reported the recovery of the child to DCS and investigation into the circumstances surrounding the child going missing is ongoing.
