Safford Spring Festival powered by Sun Pumps showcases southern Arizona wine, food

SAFFORD — The annual Safford Spring Festival, powered by Sun Pumps, returns Friday and Saturday, April 25-26, bringing together the best of Southern Arizona’s wine, art, and history for a vibrant weekend of celebration.

This year’s festival will feature six Arizona winemakers:

  • Copper Horse Vineyard (Portal)
  • Elgin Winery (Elgin)
  • Sonoita Vineyards (Elgin)
  • Wilhelm Family Vineyards (Elgin)
  • Twisted Union Wine Company (Elgin)
  • Strive Vineyards (Willcox)
  • Bodega Pierce Vineyard (Willcox)

In addition, the award-winning Elgin Distillery will be offering tastings of their finely crafted spirits.

Wine lovers can purchase a commemorative wine glass and three tasting tickets for $20 at the Graham County Chamber of Commerce tent.

For beer enthusiasts, DRG Technologies has partnered with Michelob Ultra and III Counties Distributing to host a beer garden. Beer tickets will be available for $5 each.

Alcohol service hours are 5-10 p.m. Friday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday. Last call both nights is 9:30 p.m.

There will also be more food options than ever before, with upward of 14 food trucks at the event.

“We’ve got a food truck from Las Vegas, two food trucks from New Mexico; (it’s) very exciting to have people invest in the event,” said Vance Bryce, Chamber executive director.

Safford Spring Festival will take place on the lawn in front of Safford City Hall, 717 W. Main St.
