SAFFORD —Safford Spring Festival returns this weekend, bigger and better than ever.

The Safford Spring Festival takes place Friday and Saturday, April 26-27.

“We have live music, more food trucks than we’ve ever had at any of our events, which is exciting, (and) wine-tasting tickets for Elgin Winery, Elgin Distillery and Sonoita Vineyards” said Vance Bryce, Graham County Chamber of Commerce executive director.

The Spring Festival will open at 5 p.m. Friday, with the national anthem performed by 2024 Gila Idol winner Kamea Nelson, followed by a ribbon-cutting and special check presentation by United Way of Graham and Greenlee Counties to the Chamber for the new stage that will be in use throughout the weekend.

Events throughout the weekend include flower planting, rock painting, Hula Hooping, a paint-and-take and a photo booth. A historic walk down Main Street will take place both days, while Saturday will feature a demonstration by Gila Cheer.

This year’s addition is a VIP tent, which includes a wine tumbler, wine glass jewelry from Your Inner Glow, chair massages by Kachina Mineral Spa, a special Spring Festival charcuterie board by Bampa’s Workshop, a charcuterie cup by Fancy Pizzeria and free soda and water. Tickets are $250.

And there will be giveaways of items donated by Chamber of Commerce members. Go to the Chamber booth for free raffle tickets.

Live music will be performed both days by Nelson, Darryn Kamae and Our Island Style, the Zaylie Windsor Band, TJ Taylor, and JJ’s Party Band will close out Saturday.
