Safford Police hosting Teen Academy

SAFFORD — Teens interested in learning about police work have a chance to find out what it’s really like first hand.

Safford Police Department announced it is accepting applications for its Teen Academy, which will run June 1-5, from 4-8 p.m. each day.

The academy is open to teens 14- to 18-years-old, have a cumulative grade point average of C or better, have no criminal history or on probation, and be enrolled in a local high school.

Applications are available at the Safford Police Station, 523 S. 10th Avenue. Applications are due May 22.
