Many attended the Safford Police Department’s 3rd annual Community Organized Resource Event (C.O.R.E.) that took place last Saturday in Firth Park. Those attending were given the opportunity to learn about the various free services offered by non-profit organizations throughout the City of Safford and Graham County. We appreciate each of our area’s non-profits for being on hand to educate and inform the public of the services available to them. We thank Undersheriff Jeff McCormies and the Sheriff’s Office Tactical Response Unit, Thatcher Police Department, Arizona Department of Corrections K9/Hound Officers and Lifeline Ambulance for taking time to participate in this year’s event.
A special thanks to Brian Andrews of Walmart for donating hotdogs, buns, water and condiments and to Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of Safford for the donation of sodas, water and for the use of their Pepsi wagon. Through your generous donations, we were able to provide free hot-dog and drinks to those attending.
