Safford ‘No Kings’ protest moved to 8 a.m. Saturday due to heat

SAFFORD — The Graham County Democratic Committee announced a change in this weekend’s “No Kings” protest.

Due to the excessive heat warning for the Gila Valley, the protest will start at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 14. The protest will take place on the northwest corner of U.S. Highway 70 and 20th Avenue.

The protest is in reaction to the Trump administration’s policies.

The local Dems also announced an “Orange Sunset and Blue Skies Fun Raiser” will take place Monday, June 23, from 5-8 p.m. at 2958 Dove Lane in Thatcher.

Admission is $25 and musical entertainment will be provided by Jim Fowler.
