SAFFORD — As the area opens up due to lower positivity rates, more events are being announced.
The latest is a 5k to benefit mental health hosted by the Safford Lions Club.
The event will take place Saturday, Oct. 24, at 8 a.m. at Eastern Arizona College’s Discovery Park Campus.
Participants may walk, jog, run or race, and have their choice of both a 5k and 10k.
Cost is $20 per person or $15 per person is registering as a family with three or more people. Day of race registration will be $25 per person.
Sponsors include the United Way of Graham and Greenlee Counties, Canyonlands Healthcare, Farmers Insurance and Eastern Arizona College.
