SAFFORD – The City of Safford announced its intention to increase property taxes.
The city issued the required Truth in Taxation notice, alerting property owners that the city is looking at a 3.47 percent increase, which is expected to raise an additional $8.731.
On a home valued at $100,000, the increase in the tax rate would increase the annual tax from $49.63 to $51.35.
The public will have the opportunity to comment on the proposed tax levy at the Safford City Council’s June 8 meeting.
