2 new COVID-19 positives in Graham County

SAFFORD – The Graham County Health Department announced late Wednesday two new positive cases of COVID-19 in the county.

“The Health Department is working with partners in the county to isolate and quarantine those sick with this illness and anyone who has had close contact with the ill patients during their infectious period. The two new cases live in separate households, but share a common workplace,” Health Department officials said in the notice.

The Health Department did not specify ages or genders of the two infected with coronavirus, or in which communities they live.

The new cases bring the county’s total to four since the beginning of the pandemic. The two previous cases, both located in Pima and diagnosed in March, have fully recovered.

Meanwhile Greenlee County Health Department reports that county is holding at two positive cases, both located in Morenci and both have fully recovered.

The San Carlos Apache Tribe, located in both Graham and Gila counties, reports no positive cases thus far.
