Safford announces next week’s fog-sealing schedule

SAFFORD — Safford Streets Department crew will continue fog sealing the city’s roadways next week.

Streets schedule for work include:

• Monday, April 21 —8th Avenue, between 20th and 24th streets
• Wednesday, April 23 — 20th Street, between 8th and 14th avenues

For residents and businesses on streets scheduled for sealing, the city’s Streets Department team will deliver a flyer to the door with the specific date the work will take place. Once the sealing is complete, the road will usually be ready to drive on within just a few hours.

City crews will place and remove traffic cones and barricades as needed. The city asks that residents do not move barricades and instead use alternate parking and travel routes while work is underway.

Motorists are asked to use caution when traveling through these areas and plan alternate routes when possible.
